Honor Roll of Donors - July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015
Dear Alumnae/i and Special Friends:
It is my privilege to extend a special thank you to our many donors and volunteers for their generous financial support and important contributions.
On behalf of our students, faculty and staff who benefit from your generosity --- thank you for each and every gift. This honor roll comes with our heartfelt gratitude for your dedication and
commitment to Dominican University.
Donna M. Carroll
The President's Circle
The President's Circle recognizes the philanthropy of individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations who contribute $1,000 or more to the university. Restricted gifts in support of endowment, the Trustee Benefit Concert, and other specific projects; and unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund are included. Both types of gifts are critically important to the university.
Classes and Schools
The President’s Honor Roll of Donors recognizes all alumnae/i who contributed to Dominican University during the fiscal year. Rosary College of Arts and Sciences alumnae/i are listed by class, followed by The School of Leadership and Continuing Studies alumnae/i. The list concludes with donors from each graduate school. Alumnae/i who hold degrees from more than one school will appear with each respective group as appropriate.
In addition to our generous alumnae/i and friends, many associations, corporations and foundations provide support to the university throughout the year. Dominican University would like to recognize the many employers who match charitable contributions from their employees. Many gifts are doubled or tripled in value, and the university is grateful for this increased support and commitment to higher education.
For information about a matching gift program at your work place, contact your human resources office.
Memorial & Honor Gifts
Associated Colleges of Illinois
The Associated Colleges of Illinois is a group of private colleges and universities who work with business, government and community leaders to strengthen member institutions and raise awareness of the value and role of independent colleges and universities. Member institutions share in the proceeds of project and annual fundraising through ACI.
Gifts to an endowed fund have a continuing impact on the life of the university. They are invested to provide permanent annual support for scholarships, faculty and curriculum development and general operations. Scholarship endowment provides financial assistance to deserving, academically gifted students. Faculty endowment supports named faculty chairs, distinguished professorships and visiting lecturers. University endowment supports a full range of programs from academic initiatives to student services to the care and maintenance of the university and its grounds. Many endowments are named to provide a lasting remembrance for alumnae/i and special friends. The list below is not a full list of named funds, but those for which a gift was received between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.
Trustee Benefit Concert and Gala
The 35th Annual Trustee Benefit was held on March 14, 2015. Through the generous support of our underwriters, attendees, and friends, we raised more than $500,000 in support of scholarships this year. We thank our 2015 underwriters and sponsors.
Bequests and Estates
Bequests represent the final demonstrations of affection and appreciation for Dominican University. The following thoughtful commitments were received between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.
Mazzuchelli Heritage Society
The Mazzuchelli Heritage Society was established to recognize and honor the alumnae/i and other friends of Dominican University who have provided for Dominican through their estate plans. This honorary society is named for Father Samuel Mazzuchelli, founder of the Sinsinawa Dominicans—a man whose life reflected both extraordinary generosity and remarkable vision.
