Jill Cranford ’96 wins Lion King Quilt Contest

Jill Cranford ’96 was declared the first-place winner of the "Lion King Cherrywood Challenge Quilt Contest" held nationwide. She won two tickets to attend "The Lion King" on Broadway, a gift card from Cherrywood and a prize package from Disney.

Jill's quilt named "The Rising Son" at the official award ceremony in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over 300 uniquely designed quilts were entered into the Cherrywood Challenge with only 120 quilts making the finalists list to travel nationally as a quilt exhibit. 

Jill said in the article, "Dominican University was a great match for me!"
