Police Chief James Held MSOL ’11 retires from Lake Forest Police Department

Police Chief James Held MSOL ’11 is retiring from the Lake Forest Police Department after 31 years. Held served as a commander and deputy chief before becoming chief in September 2012. In 2006, Held attended a 10-week course in leadership and executive management at the FBI National Academy. 

At the age of 46, Held earned a bachelor's degree in applied behavioral sciences at National Louis University. He later earned a master's degree in organizational leadership at Dominican University in 2011.
