Christine Antonoplos ’01 Honored by Sunny 95 (94.7 FM)

February 12, 2016

Christine Antonoplos ’01 was recently featured as an "Outstanding Woman" by Sunny 95 (94.7 FM), an adult contemporary music radio station in Columbus, Ohio. Antonoplos' inspiring story starts at the age of 24, when she suffered a stroke and underwent open heart surgery.

She recovered and returned to her job at the Battelle Memorial Institute, where she currently works as a formulations chemist/researcher. She also volunteers for and supports many charities through her cupcake business called Chrissie’s Creations. Just this year, Chrissie has baked 30 dozen cupcakes and generated over $3,000 for Children’s Hunger Alliance and the Beads of Courage program at the Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

To celebrate the anniversary of her successful open heart surgery, Chrissie is running a 13.1-mile marathon in October. Her team, #HeartHopeRun, is currently fundraising for the marathon and all donations will go to the Heart Center of Nationwide Children's Hospital. Please click here to support team #HeartHopeRun.

Chrissie is involved with many organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House, The Memorial Golf Tournament, and the Women’s Auxiliary Council. To learn more about the organizations Chrissie is involved with, please visit the Beads of Courage website, the Kinder Key page at Nationwide Children's Hospital's website and the Chrissie’s Creations Facebook page
