Mary Boyle Callow ’67

Throughout her professional career and personal life, Mary Boyle Callow ’67 has modeled the core values of Dominican University. For many years, Mary has served her alma mater with distinction as past president of the Alumnae/i Board and active member of the Board of Trustees since 1990. In 2009, she was honored with Dominican’s prestigious Caritas et Veritas Award.

Mary is vice chair of the university’s Board of Trustees and served as chair from 2005 to 2008. She has provided leadership in university planning and is a co-chair of the on-going Powerful Promise Campaign, which seeks to raise $65 million.

Under Mary’s guidance, the university successfully completed the Amazing Possibilities Campaign, the first $50 million fundraising initiative in the history of the university. This campaign allowed for the creation of Parmer Hall, the Goedert Center, the new parking pavilion, and Founders' Court, among other projects. These accomplishments reveal how Mary's enthusiasm for Dominican can generate momentum and make things happen for the university.

Mary graduated from Dominican University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall School of Law in 1985. Mary is an equity member of the law firm of Clingen, Callow & McLean, LLC, which is a full-service business practice. The firm specializes in commercial transactions and litigation, succession planning for family businesses and settlement of probate and trust estates, as well as counseling individual and corporate clients, financial institutions, and not-for-profit corporations.

Mary is a member of the Illinois Bar, the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, the DuPage County Estate Planning Council and the DuPage County Bar Association. She has served on the boards of Child's Voice and Central DuPage Hospital.

Mary is the mother of three: Lizabeth Callow, Catherine Callow, and Sarah Callow Michal. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
