Student Orientation and Registration
The Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) program is designed to welcome you into the Dominican University community. SOAR helps you discover the tools needed to be a successful Dominican student both inside and outside the classroom.
The SOAR program includes academic assessments to help with creating your course schedule, meeting with your academic advisor and registering for classes, interacting with staff throughout the University, learning about campus resources, and meeting both new and current students. It’s the first step to reaching the new heights and amazing possibilities open to you at Dominican!
Attending SOAR is required for all new students, whether you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, regardless of whether you'll live on campus or commute. Space is limited and registrations may close before the deadline, so please make your arrangements to attend the entire program early.
You must pay your Tuition Deposit prior to registering for SOAR. If you have not paid your $100 Tuition Deposit, please make your deposit now.
The SOAR program is for incoming freshmen and their family. SOAR includes a variety of activities to acclimate you to life on campus, help you get off on the right foot academically, meet some of the fellow students who'll be joining you at Dominican, and answer any questions that you and/or your family may have about what it means to go to college and become a Dominican Star! Students will attend a two-day, overnight program, while family is invited to attend a Family Orientation on the morning of Day 1 of the program their student attends.
