Student Orientation and Registration
The Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) program is designed to welcome you into the Dominican University community, and help you discover the tools needed to be a successful Dominican student both inside and outside the classroom.
At SOAR, you will take your academic placement tests, meet with your academic advisor and register for classes, attend workshops, connect with campus resources, and meet your classmates.
It’s the first step to reaching the new heights and amazing possibilities open to you at Dominican!
Attending SOAR is required for all new students, whether you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, regardless of whether you'll live on campus or commute. Space is limited and registrations may close before the deadline, so please make your arrangements to attend the entire program early.
You must pay your Tuition Deposit prior to registering for SOAR. If you have not paid your $100 Tuition Deposit, please make your deposit now.
The remaining date for students to attend SOAR prior to the start of classes is Friday, August 22. SOAR is program for incoming freshmen that includes a variety of activities to acclimate you to life on campus, help you get off on the right foot academically, and meet some of the fellow students who'll be joining you at Dominican.
As a new transfer student at Dominican, we understand that you have distinct needs, desires and expectations for your college experience. The one-day SOAR program for transfer students will cover academic expectations, registering for classes, student life and available services and resources.
