Food Industry Management
Food industry management combines a major in business administration with a minor in nutrition and food coursework. This minor prepares graduates to work in supervisory capacities in the food industry in management and planning. This includes the broad spectrum of the food industry including restaurants, hotels, lodging, banquet facilities, catering, hospitals, academic feeding, military provisions and other group feeding settings. The minor coursework emphasis is on food purchasing, facilities management, menu planning, communication skills, policy-making and quantity food production
An internship is required prior to graduation.
