Rosary College of Arts & Sciences

As a Dominican student, you will be challenged and supported daily to think for yourself and think big, be rigorous and passionate about your pursuits and do your part to make the world a better place. Along the way, you will learn to transform your passions into real-world opportunities and impact as you pursue truth, provide compassionate service, and participate in the creation of a more just and humane world.

Community-Based Learning
For more than a century, our mission at Dominican has been to pursue truth, provide compassionate service and participate in the creation of a more just and humane world. Our 60 service learning courses enable students to expand their academic knowledge and develop critical thinking and social analysis skills while fulfilling their academic requirements.

Internships
Internships are a core element of the academic experience at Dominican. When students are ready for relevant, hands-on experience in their major fields of study, faculty mentors collaborate with them to identify placements that best suit their goals. Throughout the internship commitment, faculty mentors provide the guidance and advice needed to maximize students’ intellectual growth and professional development.

Research
Dominican’s Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Investigations (URSCI) program supports student research projects in all academic disciplines.

We award funds to undergraduates on a competitive basis in the form of:

  • summer stipends to support independent research projects with the guidance of a faculty mentor
  • summer or semester-long research assistant stipends for participating in faculty research
  • funds to cover supplies and/or travel in connection with an approved research project, including travel to academic and industry conferences

Study Abroad
Study abroad is a life-changing opportunity for deep experiential learning that fosters global citizenship and empathetic understanding of other cultures. All of our programs are affordably priced and students can use their financial aid to help cover the cost of short-term or long-term programs in Africa, Asia, Europe, or Latin America.
