The nutrition and dietetics major prepares students for careers in the diverse field of nutrition. Completion of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) requirements provides eligibility for a dietetic internship and registered dietitian status. Majors in nutrition and dietetics may eventually hold such positions as nutritionist, dietitian, food service manager and consumer service representatives in business, industry or healthcare.
