All children deserve an equal opportunity to education. This is the challenge that educators, administrators struggle with every day as they strive to close the achievement gap.
The Dominican University School of Education invites you to engage in dialogue on this important topic with other educators during our conference: “Equity, Excellence, Access: Closing the Achievement Gap.”
Sponsored by Dominican University’s School of Education, the conference is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22, and Friday, Oct. 23, at Dominican’s River Forest campus.

The conference offers educators the chance to:
• Consider questions, issues and potential solutions that impact closing the achievement gap.
• Hear from school districts that have achieved as well as those with promising practices.
• Engage in dialogue about best practices.
• Find out how new perspectives and other schools’ best practices can relate to your experience.
This conference is critical for:
• Members of school districts that are in urban or urban-like settings.
• Members of institutions of higher learning, who work with candidates so they can guide them to a successful teaching career.
• Those responsible for creating or continuing policies.
