From the Executive Director:

We thank you for your interest in the Dominican University School of Leadership and Continuing Studies (SLCS). We created the SLCS undergraduate degree completion program for highly motivated adults. Our graduate degree program is designed for motivated students wishing to take the next step in their academic and professional careers. The SLCS is an adult-friendly learning environment that provides convenience, flexibility and exceptional student service.

Furthermore, you will discover that the curriculum for both the bachelor of science in organizational leadership (BSOL) and the masters of science in organizational leadership (MSOL) degrees provide you the opportunity to examine issues relating to diversity and ethics, while providing a deep and broad exposure to leadership-related topics. The MSOL degree also offers concentrations such as women’s leadership, sports leadership and non-profit leadership, which will allow you to more effectively tailor your graduate education to fit specific interests that are meaningful to you and your career.

Additionally, the SLCS offers a Master of Arts in Leadership for Family Ministry and Faith Development degree (MLFM). The MLFM combines the benefits of both face-to-face and online learning in one program. This degree was designed to address a need for specialized leadership in such areas as family ministry, youth and young adult ministry, care & bereavement ministry, and religious education within the church and various service agencies. We are very proud of this mission centered initiative which provides leaders with the necessary skills to support the work of the church in this diverse and ever changing world.

As an adult learner, you are a member of the fastest-growing segment in higher education today. Adults everywhere have discovered that education is no longer an option; it is a necessity. By earning a degree through the School of Leadership and Continuing Studies, you will take an important step in the growth and development of your own future and that of your employer.

Our brochure addresses key questions adult learners ask. We strongly encourage you to take the time to review this brochure prior to making any plans to earn your degree. We look forward to you joining us as a member of our vibrant learning community. Please contact us so that together we may explore your next step.
