Sensitive, informed academic advising is essential for any well-rounded undergraduate experience. As a leading Catholic university, Dominican takes this responsibility very seriously. The university’s faculty and staff works to provide each student with the support needed to create a thoughtful, challenging and successful curriculum. A skilled advisor will guide the student to ask more basic—and more meaningful—questions before focusing on course requirements.
Career Development provides students with career advising, workshops, internship opportunities, and other strategies for making wise choices and building a rewarding life beyond their years at Dominican.
Literacy and Learning Resources supports students’ success with a range of tutoring and academic support services. The office pursues initiatives that support writing and reading skill development and provides high achieving Dominican students the opportunity to serve as tutors.
An integral part of Rosary College of Arts and Sciences, Academic Success Services and Diversity is committed to supporting and enhancing the academic success of all enrolled students. Part of this overall commitment is to identify and address impediments to students' academic success.
The Transitions Program provides extra support for students as they cross the bridge from high school to college. Students also have the opportunity to serve as peer mentors through graduation (and beyond).
