Welcome
Welcome to Dominican University!
We have developed an orientation process to assist you in your transition to the university. Please review the information available on the following links. You will learn about the university mission and community, the academic requirements and expectations of being a Dominican student, health services and immunization compliance, and more about Student Accounts and paying your bill. This on-line orientation will be the first step in your orientation to the university.
After you have completed viewing the online orientation, please contact Paul Rodriquez in the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences advising office to be advised and registered for classes. You can email him at rcas@dom.edu to begin this process.
Your orientation program will continue in the fall with a special Welcome Weekend program for International Students. If you are living in the Residence Halls, you will check-in to the Residence Halls on Thursday, August 27, 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Please contact Residence Life at reslife@dom.edu if you have any questions about your housing assignment.
You will begin the Welcome Weekend program on Friday, August 28 at 9am. You will take placement tests to confirm your class schedule, in addition to meeting with various offices to learn more about the resources and services available to support your success at Dominican. On Saturday, August 29, there will be a tour of the local area and an opportunity to shop for any additional items you may need.
The Welcome Weekend program will continue on Sunday, August 30 with workshops and programs that will introduce you to your classmates! The day will conclude with an Opening Liturgy and Dinner hosted by President Donna M. Carroll. On Monday, August 31, students will participate in a service experience, as well as, attend the opening convocation and DU Fest.
Please contact me at new2du@dom.edu if you have questions about your orientation program.

“As a student I wanted an intimate community. As an aspiring journalist I wanted a big city. Dominican gave me both—and so much more.”
