Post-Baccalaureate Coordinated Dietetic Internship Certificate

Admission Requirements

Admission is open to those who have met the pre requisite course requirements and have an adequate GPA. The admission committee bases its decision on the applicant’s total academic and professional history and potential. Admission materials must include:

  • Application for Admission
  • Personal statement explaining your personal and professional goals
  • Official transcripts
  • Two references from the applicant’s professors and/or supervisors
  • Completion of prerequisite courses demonstrating academic ability in Nutrition Science Courses

Prerequisite Courses

College level courses in anatomy, physiology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and microbiology, NUTR 250 (Basic Nutrition), NUTR 200 (Fundamentals of Foods), and 6 hours of 300-400 level Nutrition Courses with grades of B or better. 

Foundation Courses

Students will then have to complete the required courses for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or complete the DU Certificate program meeting all ACEND requirements, complete NUTR 141 (or comparable Food Sanitation Course) and NUTR 280 (Multicultural Nutrition), prior to beginning the Supervised Practice Curriculum.
