Dominican University’s Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) Masters of Social Work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and is one of the first graduate schools in the nation to offer a globally focused, family centered concentration.  Our students have the option to participate in domestic or international field placements. Some of our students have experienced international field placements in South Africa, Ecuador, Mexico and the Philippines and we are now developing relationships with other international sites.

Dominican’s GSSW is one of 75 outstanding social work education programs selected to participate in a unique training opportunity through the Council on Social Work Education’s National Center for Gerontological Social Work Education. All foundation courses are infused with gerontological perspectives.

You’ll find that our flexible plans of study, which also includes a 9 month advanced standing program, are designed to accommodate students’ demanding family and work schedules. We’re committed to equipping our MSW students with the knowledge they need to practice social work in the 21 st century.
