HIST 317 - Family in America3 hours This course examines family life in America from the colonial era to the present. Investigation into the lives of families will examine how race, class, and gender shape the experience of the men, women, and children within American families. This course approaches the topic using historical, anthropological, literary, and sociological methods.This course may be applied to the United States History concentration.Listed also as AMST 315 .
