Welcome
While so much has changed at the Dominican University School of Business and in the business world at large since our inception in 1977, we continue to stay true to one of our founding goals: to deliver an innovative and academically rigorous management curriculum that will have a lasting impact on our students and our more than 3,500 alumni.
Our challenge is to ensure that our programs continue to distinguish themselves in a rapidly changing business environment. Our administration and faculty constantly analyze how we can incorporate relevant emerging topics and new technology advancements into the curriculum, while continuing to teach the core concepts that propel the world’s economies. The primary benefits to students of this ongoing analysis are a broad array of degree offerings, an outstanding faculty, and a curriculum that prepares them to thrive in any business environment, from the smallest start-up entrepreneurial setting to large multinational corporations.
Many years ago, we recognized the importance and value of a global business perspective. We have expanded our global reach by partnering with prestigious universities abroad to offer Executive MBA programs in Poland, the Czech Republic, India and China. These international programs have helped to shape our thinking and have brought Dominican University’s name to the forefront of the international education.
Finally, we have not wavered from another of our school’s basic core values. In keeping with the university mission to develop a sense of social justice and ethical responsibility in our students, the School of Business has established the Christopher Chair in Business Ethics as a result of an endowed gift. The Christopher Chair ensures that the importance of ethical business practices is threaded through all of our courses.
As you review this publication, you will discover more about our programs learning environment and superb faculty. The Dominican University School of Business is committed to empowering our students to explore new worlds and push their own personal boundaries. I invite you to experience the Dominican difference.
